Ace Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine is an out-patient orthopedic clinic with a treatment emphasis on sport injuries and general orthopedic diagnoses. We believe in a hands-on approach to facilitate the restoration of functional abilities.     Undergraduate - Long Beach State University

    Don founded Ace Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine in 1998, before Ace he worked with collegiate football and basketball players at Long Beach State University. Most recently Don was the physical therapist for Artemis Racing sailing team during the 34th Americas Cup in San Francisco. In his free time Don enjoys surfing, sailing, tennis, and skiing.

  • Kari Pimentel B.S.
    Office Manager

    Kari is an expert with health insurance coverage and billing issues. Kari is a Bay Area native and graduated from California State University Hayward with a degree in Recreational Therapy. In her free time Kari enjoys trips to Lake Tahoe with her kids, dancing and a nice glass of wine.

  • Melika Kasner
    Undergraduate - Willamette University

    Melika received her degree in Exercise Science and Spanish from Willamette University. Before ACE, Melika has had experience working in an athletic training department and volunteering in a pediatric PT clinic. In her free time, she volunteers at St. Francis Memorial Hospital and enjoys dancing and taiko drumming. Melika plans on attending physical therapy school in the fall of 2017.

  • Bayan Odeh
    Undergraduate - University of San Francisco

    Bayan received her degree in kinesiology from the University of San Francisco. Her goal is to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy with an emphasis in neurology. She has a passion for fitness, and enjoys being outdoors in her free time.

  • Brooke Shimazaki
    Undergraduate - San Francisco State University

    Brooke graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Kinesiology. She played on the NCAA D2 collegiate basketball team at SFSU. Brooke also helps out at the university’s athletic training facility and works at Orange Theory Fitness. She is working towards a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Being from Southern California, Brooke enjoys being in the sun in her free time and loves being active.
